Coin Flip

Can’t decide? Flip a coin. Press the button to get heads or tails, or flip many coins at once and see how many of each you got, with percentages and a row of the latest results. The flip uses your browser’s secure random generator, so it is a true 50/50, and nothing leaves your device.

Frequently asked questions

Is a coin flip really 50/50?

Here, yes. Each flip is an independent draw from your browser’s cryptographic random generator with exactly equal chances. A streak of heads does not make tails more likely next time.

Why isn’t it exactly 50% after 10 flips?

Small samples vary a lot; 7 heads out of 10 is perfectly normal. With hundreds or thousands of flips the percentages move close to 50%, though they are rarely exactly equal.

Can I flip many coins at once?

Yes, up to 1,000 at a time. You see the heads and tails counts with percentages, and the last 100 flips as chips (H for heads, T for tails). The counts keep adding up until you reset them.

Can I use it to decide between more than two things?

A coin only has two sides. For more choices use Spin the Wheel or the Random Number Generator tool.
