Dice Roller

Roll dice right in your browser: choose how many dice and which kind, from the classic six-sided die to the d20 used in tabletop role-playing games, or enter your own number of sides. You see every die and the total, and the page remembers your last ten rolls. Nothing is sent anywhere.

How to use Dice Roller

  1. Choose how many dice to roll (1–20).
  2. Pick the type: d6 is the normal die; d20 is common in role-playing games. Choose “Custom” for any number of sides from 2 to 1000.
  3. Press “Roll dice”. Each die and the total appear.
  4. Your last ten rolls are listed below; they disappear when you leave the page.

Frequently asked questions

How is the total calculated?

Every die is rolled on its own and gives a number from 1 to its number of sides. The total is simply all results added together. For example, 2d6 gives a total between 2 and 12, and 7 is the most common.

Are the dice fair?

Yes. Each roll uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator, so every face has exactly the same chance. Previous rolls do not influence the next one.

Which dice can I roll?

d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100, or a custom die with 2 to 1000 sides. The “d” means die: 3d8 is three eight-sided dice.

Is my roll history saved?

Only the last ten rolls are kept, in memory on this page. They are gone when you reload or close it. Nothing is stored or sent. For a coin instead of a die, see Coin Flip.
