Random Letter Wheel
No more arguing over which letter to play. All 26 letters from A to Z are on the wheel: spin it and start your round of Scattergories or any word game. Remove each letter as it comes up so every round gets a new one.

How to use Random Letter Wheel
- The wheel opens with A to Z; delete tricky letters like Q, X or Z if you want.
- Press "Spin" so everyone can see the wheel.
- Spin again for the next round. With "Remove the winner from the wheel each time" on, no letter comes up twice.
Frequently asked questions
Can I take out hard letters like Q, X and Z?
Yes. Delete them from the list with the × button. Many Scattergories players leave out Q, U, V, X, Y and Z to keep rounds fair.
Can I spin only vowels or only certain letters?
Yes. Clear the list and type just the letters you want, for example A, E, I, O, U. For phonics practice, limit the wheel to the letters your class is learning this week.
Which games is it good for?
Scattergories, "name five things that start with…", word chains, Pictionary warm-ups and spelling games. Use the word finder to see words that start with the letter you got.
Is it rigged? Is the result really random?
No, it isn't rigged. Before the wheel starts turning, the winner is chosen with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues); the wheel then simply animates towards that result. Without weights every entry has exactly the same chance, and neither we nor anyone else can decide the outcome in advance. It all runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server. One honest caveat: whoever runs the page can edit the list or keep spinning until they like the result, so for public giveaways the most trustworthy approach is to share the list beforehand and livestream or screen-record the spin.
